Description
Since the new signing process a few applications have dropped off of the Boxee Box like the Last.fm app which was great whilst it was there but alas is no more.
My problem is that I had my username and password stored for it but since the app has gone I have changed my password on the website. Now every time I boot up my Boxee Box it is informing me that my password is wrong.
With no app and no way of changing this info which is no longer needed am I stuck with this message for ever, is the only way to get rid of it a factory reset?
With no app on the boxee box, and no app in the repos, why is it even still checking my password?

It doesn't come up instantly as it boots, it is usually a few minutes after or when you open an app and it shows up in the top right corner in a grey box with a little star. The same kind as when you open an app.
"Last.fm Bad authorisation check username and password."
It was a 3rd party app so obviously checking or changing my username and password is a tad tricky.

If I remember correctly it was in the DIR.StreamFREE.tv repo, until alas it no longer worked due to the signing.

I have noticed that it always shows up after a reboot if I go into say the Twit.tv app, watch for a second and then quit out.

can you try to reinstall the 3rd party application and change the password?

This is the problem, it is no longer in the repo as it wasn't signed so they removed it.
Changing the password in the browser or in the last.fm app in my laptop browser hasn't worked either, not that I thought it would... worth a try though.

the reason for this is that Boxee client has some last.fm remains which needs to be removed.
as a workaround, you can run an unsigned version of the application and change the password locally.
I have attached a modified version of the application.
1. download it and extract the zip . put it inside a directory named BoxeeApps
have BoxeeApps directory stored as a root directory on an attached USB device.
2. register as a developer
http://www.boxee.tv/developer
register your box and download a certification for your boxeebox and put it inside BoxeeApps folder.
now, the last.fm application will appear in your favorites and you can change the password.
another brutal workaround is to reset user settings through the recovery console, but you will loose all your boxee settings and identified items.

Only just saw this, must have missed the email somehow. Just done a factory reset before I came on here and the problem is gone now as far as I can tell. I guess now they are all going to be signed it won't be a problem in the future anyway.
Thanks for your help
