Embedded cover art in music files are ignored after a reboot

Description

My mp3s and flac files have embedded cover art. On the initial scan of my music network share, it populates the covers from the files correctly. However, on a reboot, the images aren't loaded from the files as before, but are now scraped from the discogs site. This leads to a lot of incorrect or bad images after rebooting.

I am using RC2 1.0.3.17064/5, but this problem was also there with the last SP.

I'm using build 1.0.3.17064 and experiencing exactly the same symptoms. Upon powering up my BB it seems to ignore all embedded artwork and displays images from Discogs instead. If I go to and select 'Settings/System/Advanced/Clear media information from the library' then it begins to rescan the music files. After this, all embedded artwork is restored until the next time it is rebooted.

Hey boxee devs,
This issue is almost a duplicate of this one: http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-7520

For that issue, it's a problem with loading folder.jpg images instead of embedded images. But it's basically the same behavior. So you may want to close/combine this one.

Not sure who's maintaining the issues list, but this is resolved in the 1.1 firmware. Since the box now permanently caches cover art, a reboot doesn't force it to check discogs for missing art.

Since there's finite memory available for caching, it's possible that the problem will show up again if you deplete the cache and Boxee is forced to delete oldest items to make room for the newest items.

@darcilicious. You're right. Boxee cleared out some album art from the internal cache but ended up downloading bad cover art instead of using the embedded versions. This still needs to be fixed.
