Interlacing and FPS issues (mainly VC1 1080i)

Description

I sent a sample before the release of 1.0.2 (if I'm not mistaken) about some interlacing issues. The issues on that clip (a 480i DVD MKV file) are gone now, but some other issues with deinterlacing persist.

I'm now uploading some clips to Boxee's FTP. Here are the issues:

***Clips with frame dropping/crappy framerate:
VC1.1080i25.DTS-HD.MyLifeinRuins.ts
VC1.1080i30.LCPM.AC3.JustinTimberlake.ts
VC1.1080i30.LPCM.MariahCarey.ts

***Clip with frame dropping and audio issue.
VC1.1080i30.TrueHD.AC3.CelineDion.ts - this one has the issue above AND audio doesn't play: "Failed to initialize audio device: check your audio settings". Changing to the core AC3 track, stopping the video and playing it again, the audio does play. But not on TrueHD.

Clips with deinterlacing issues:
PAL.576i.AC3.Friends.mkv - not deinterlacing at 10seconds. This happens with many PAL DVDs.
VC1.1080i30.DTS-HD.Madonna.ts - this one also doesn't deinterlace sometimes... One good example is when the crowd appears, you can definitely see the lines of interlacing there.

The Madonna clip is not VC1, it's H264. My mistake. That explains why it's not stuttering like other VC1 1080i clips. It "just" has the interlacing issues.

Johnny, I have no issues with 1080p I think...

Which player are you using to play these clips properly?
I've tried XBMC, Boxee, VLC and mpc on the PC platform (win32) as well as PCH-A200. All of them have the same issues. Some of them won't even play these clips

I was intrigued by your comment, Eli, as in fact I hadn't tested those clips with other players, although I did know how they should/should not behave, and they are all within the Blu-Ray/DVD specs as they are not reencodes.

So, I connected my PCH-A100 which has been in the closet since the Boxee Box arrived and played the files.

The only file that had the same issues, was the "BOXEE-7879_PAL.576i.AC3.Friends.mkv". It behaved the same as the BBox, showing those weird interlacing lines.

All the other files, however, played absolutely perfectly! No frame dropping what-so-ever with VC1 1080i (which seems to be the big issue here), and no showing ocasionally the interlacing lines with any file.
I don't know about the A-200 because I don't have one, but I can assure you that the A100 played these files perfectly.
