file sources scan status sometimes stay as 'Identifying' although it is finished resolving

Description

repro:
added all \\DLINK-NAS-313\Volume_1
scan type = hourly
media type = video

result:
when boxee finished scanning and resolving all videos the file source status did not changed to 'Last Scanned' it's still 'Identifying'

Will reported:
BB is getting stuck on "Identifying" the last file. It will show "Identifying" forever in "File Sources". That is until you reboot.

Always, it's getting stuck Identifying on the last file (a random one at that).

If I then manually identify that last file then it finishes correctly. But sadly manually identifying is not working right either (wrong thumbnails, due to thumbnails being cached incorrectly)

A Debug log has been attached. When this log was created, it was stuck on "Identifying" in "File Sources" and my last random Movie was missing.

Notice in "root-boxee.old.log" at the very end: Segmentation Fault

Ouch!

And look at all those "Error" and "Permission denied" in "root-boxee.log".

Very odd!

Now ,after I rebooted, that last Movie appeared, and now in "File Sources", "Last Scanned" is shown as expected. No longer stuck on "Identifying" after that reboot.

So it does indeed find all the files. Just not displaying correctly until after a reboot.

That is, in File Sources I see after the reboot process:

"765 files found"

But I know for a fact I have 766 files shared.

Did the scan 5 times to be sure, after clearing out the database and rebooting.

Every time it shows "765 files found". So indeed sounds like the file count remains off by 1 file too when this happens. Anyone else seeing this?

It keeps missing:

Known Universe Season 2 Episode 1

Really odd. If I manually identify it using .nfo it is identified just fine.

Happening randomly when doing a new scan (after clearing out database). Some times it finds it just fine and other times it misses it.

And takes over 2 hours for the scan to finish (that's with debugging off). Will try and do a new scan after clearing the database with debugging on to see if log reviles anything useful.

OK well tried to replicate it on 1.1.2 and now it found Known Universe Season 2 Episode 1 just fine.

Well I did another database reset to see if I could duplicate and now I cant. :)

Once again the file is found just fine. And the two numbers match. :D

So looks like everything is now being found jsut fine in 1.1.2. :)

But it's still getting stuck on "identifying", so cant close bug yet.

I'm having the issue as well where it refuses to move past identifying on the latest RC firmware. I have factory reset and upgraded twice with no luck.

I'm having the same issue. It has been stuck identifying for a couple days now even after removing and re-adding a source. It also failed to identify a bunch of my Silverhawks episodes which could explain why it is stuck identifying even though all of the episodes have NFO files. I would remove and re-add the source again but it duplicated a bunch of my shows last go round and this most recent scan only duplicated Mad Men and Transformers so instead of having a bunch of duplicates I'm leaving it the way it is for now. Hopefully, this will get fixed as the identifying problem is still present for me.

I am having the same issue where it says it has identified 521 files, but when I got to movies folder it is only showing 514. I've discovered at least 2 of the files that are not showing up and tried a manual identification, however, the manual update doesn't work either Although it finds the imdb information and i select done it never adds it to the list. I've also tried NFO files on the same missing files and that doesn't populate them into the my movies section either.
