Playlist (.m3u / .wpl) files with full paths for song files won't play in Boxee Box

Description

All my media is stored on a WHS (e.g. \\server\music\folder1\artist\album, etc, for music).

On my Windows 7 using either iTunes or WMP, I can create playlists (.m3u and .wpl) files that use the above full/network pathname and they work in their respective players.

However, these same files will not play in Boxee Box (accessed via Files>>Browse>>Network>>Server>>Music>>Playlists>>playlist1.wpl)

This post: http://forums.boxee.tv/showpost.php?p=124401&postcount=24 indicates that erez is working on the issue but I don't see it in this early release.

I'll give it a vote. I don't use boxee music because of issues like this, but if they brush up the music functionality, i may well do!

Adding smb: to my .m3u files seems to fix things on my network. However, all the applications that I use to create .m3u playlists don't add smb: in the file address and any other application that I use to play these playlists don't like the smb: So I'm forced to maintain two sets of playlists... this makes me sad...
