Description

Currently the backlit logo on the boxee box dims while viewing media. It would be a very nice feature to have the following additional options:

Logo off while playing media
Logo always off (understandable if this gets dropped as it may cause support issues)

This would be greatly appreciated as well since when I'm watching a movie, I usually turn out all of the lights so that it is completely dark in my viewing room and the less logos or LEDs I have lit up the better.

+1 I can disable LED logo on my TV and other devices. Would enjoy such an option in my Boxee Box.

Avner specifically told us we would get this. One thing about the logo that bugs me, is that after playing media and switching my system to another component to do something else, the Boxee logo stays lit brightly for quite a long time and is distracting.

Would love an option that has it "dim" all of the time, with an option to turn it off completely during media playback.

Please re-open http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-11166 this is not a duplicate issue. The issue described in 11166 is a bug as the back light behavior is now broken from previous releases.

I would love the option to turn the logo off. The boxee box in my bedroom actually has a piece of black tape stuck over the logo in order to remove the glow from the logo. Obviously when I am not watching TV I am also not interested in seeing the glow. In my case I have positioned the Boxee up high, out of sight and touch, but the glow is still visible on the ceiling without my black tape solution.

For me, the logo is only useful when the boxee is positioned somewhere visible.

Even Color Control would be sweet!

Cycle Green, Orange, Red

or Red while playing... You can get creative

But I like the "Off While Playing" idea!
