Description
The current screen saver must be improved.
The Boxee Box screen saver is among the first applications guests see when viewing the device in someone's office or home.
Currently the device provides only very basic transitions (pan & zoom) on images from a selected folder.
I suggest to improve or redesign the current Boxee box screen saver following some basic standards (found in most popular devices):
The user must be able to select a remote folder containing the images.
The user must be able to select if and when the screen saver will start (i.e. after so many minutes of inactivity)
The user must be able to select the time between images (photos, etc.), up to infinity (i.e.9999 minutes).
The user must be able to select the type of transition between images (for a good selection, please see the application MS PowerPoint) some examples:
- No transition
- Fade and dissolves (5)
- Wipes (32)
- Push and cover (12)
- Stripes and bars (6)
- Random transition (among the ones above)
I hope to see this important improvement in one of the very next SW upgrades.
