Description
The 1.5.0.23615 firmware update breaks the functionality in the MLB app for listening to alternate audio streams during a live a game. I have tested and repeated this bug using firmware 1.2.2.20482.
Here are the steps to reproduce/compare today using the Boston Red Sox vs Boston College Eagles spring training game (3rd March 2012):
1) Use MLB app with firmware 1.2.2.20482
2) When game is playing live hit the Center/Select button on BB remote
3) Lower toolbar is displayed showing game progress and floating icons become available.
4) Choose the Gear icon, then Audio, then you can change the audio streams
5) On this particulare game, Audio Stream #2 is the radio broadcast of the game (plays slightly ahead of the video which is fairly normal as I recall)
When running firmware 1.5.0.23615
1) Load MLB.tv app
2) When game is playing live hit the Center/Select button on BB remote
3) Lower toolbar is displayed showing game progress and floating icons become available. *IMPORTANT* There is no CC icon displayed (read below).
4) Choose Gear icon and you only have the options for Subtitle Offset, Audio Offset and View Mode. There is no option to change the audio stream like you can with Firmware 1.2.2.20482.
In firmware 1.5.0.23615 the UI moved the audio streams to under the CC option (which seems an odd choice). Since the MLB app is not displaying the CC icon during live games you cannot access the alternate audio streams. So this appears to be a bug created by the UI changes in the 1.5 firmware.
