Description
Boxee Box is severely lacking the ability to create and manage video playlists, smart playlists (based on criteria such as genre, release date, etc.) and the ability to shuffle and play video files in a continuous manner. Older media managers such as XBMC have been doing this for some time now. An add-on for XBMC entitled Pseudo TV does it even better, incorporating everything into a virtual cable TV iguide environment with custom made channels of downloaded media that run 24/7 on a schedule. While this type of viewing may seem like a step back for some, this is exactly the kind of experience I am looking for sometimes. It's tiring always carefully selecting what to watch.
While Boxee Box does support .m3u and .pls playlist files created on a PC, without the ability to shuffle said lists from within the Boxee Box GUI, this is very tedious. Please consider this improvement. At the very least, an option to shuffle video playlist playback should be included. It is my singular issue with the Boxee Box.
