Description
Using HDMI audio - When attempting to play a video file with audio that is not supported by the display device, say DTS HD on my tv, the "failed to initialize audio" error is displayed as expected. After that error appears any attempt to play another video file, no matter the audio type it contains will give the same error until the box is rebooted. This happens when I forget to turn on my AVR and start a movie with HD audio. After that even with the receiver on I can't play any video file and get sound, I just keep getting the error until I reboot. I used to be able to choose a different audio track or restart the AVR and the audio would play again, now it errors until a Boxee reboot. So, once the error occurs I have to reboot to get sound from any video file.
steps to reproduce:
* Connect boxee via hdmi to a receiver
* under settings -> system -> audio set to hdmi and check all options
* turn off the receiver and try to play content with dts-ma audio track and receiver "fail to initialize audio message "
* turn on the receiver and no audio on boxee at all including navigation sounds
* toggling the audio output will resume navigation sounds but the audio will fail on nay content you will try to play
