Description

Received my pre-ordered Live TV dongle today. Plugged in, started up, initiated channel search. Boxee found 60 channels+.

Iissue: No realtime guide info is available. All channels say "no data" next to the channel name which is not what all of the promo photos have promised me. I expected to see a realtime, searchable channel guide (as I have seen in Boxee blog posts). My dongle has been in action for over 30 minutes.

I'm having the same problem in zip code 19460 (I have Verizon FIOS and Boxee detected 123 QAM channels w/ my cable connection)

"No Data" here too. This is the only reason why I bought this. Boxee found 80 channels on my Time Warner cable in Los Angeles and all it says is "service_id 54.23" and "no data"...though, of course, each channel has a different "service ID".

Same issues here. This is also the only reason I purchased this, as well. I receive 38 channels but only a few have any programming data. The boxee ran overnight and only 5 channels had data. Im in zip code 60506 and pulling Chicago stations. The fact that Im commenting on a JIRA about this is assinine.

Pulling in 33 channels on basic cable in Zip 89103. Only national broadcast stations pull in data...local broadcasters all have no data in the program guide.

I decided to turn on debug logging, restarted my boxee, and then did a rescan for channels and after the rescan the No Data issue is now gone and I do see information about the shows. Not sure what the deal was before but I suggest you try scanning again and see if that works (in the Live TV settings).

I went through the rescan process, browsed the channels and rebooted in this updated debugging log.

Same issue here. Zip code 12401 via Time Warner Cable. Zap2it shows complete program data for my zipcode. I am online and can view web pages via Boxee Browser. Zapt2it shows complete results for my zip. NO DATA on ALL channels (60 channels.) The included OTA antenna scan found Zero channels, so I rely on my cable.

To all users without schedule data - If you haven't done so - please post ALL of the following details:

Your Boxee Username (if its different than your JIRA username)
Your Zip Code
Your Cable Provider name, if you are using cable OR specify that you are using the antenna.

It will help us identify your specific issue.

1) When you manually edit channels can you see those channels' schedule available for matching?
2) Where you've seen on our website that we link to current programs online?
AFAIK we currently don't support linking from live tv schedule data to the online/local tv shows library (or the other way around).

J Kaup, I understand the confusion, obviously what stated can be done - watch Live TV and past episodes on the TV Show Library - but currently we do not support linking between the sections, you need to navigate (or search) yourself to the show in the library.

Thats obviously a deceptive statement on your site! If you have to escape out of the LIVE TV to search past episodes, the statement should have been listed as an enticement for the product!

Though some of the data is now showing on SOME of the local broadcast channels, still NOT receiving ANY scheduled info.

Definitely needs some work, I hooked it up to basic cable with a lot of ClearQAM stations and the majority of the channels had to be reprogrammed since the Boxee just had no clue what they were. Even after that I was left with some national channels like CSPAN and WGN that it simply did not have schedules for. It would probably have helped if I could see the schedules I was picking from to line up the channels to the shows instead of just trying to google the station names and match them up to the channels.

Doesn't appear as if the company is working on a fix. Basically paid extra $50 so I didn't have to change the input on my TV.

I just received my live adapter and also having the issue reported here. I am using cable and initial scan found 45 channels with no data on any of them. I then tried re-scanning but selected another zip code that was closed to me which found 45 channels but only gave data for about 11 channels. I have since tried other zip codes (larger towns/cities) near me with the same result...about 11 of 45 channels are found. Below is my information:
