Description

In this new firmware, my .m3u files (music only) don't play and freeze the BB. In firmware 1.2 it's OK.

@Jairo de Souza please provide more details on this issue, playing M3U files (music playlists) is working fine on the beta version.

My .m3u file have 2.7mb and it is used to shuffle my music library.

Hi Ami. What kind of information I can provide to resolve this issue? I can send to you the .m3u file that I use here? Is it helpful without the music files?

Perhaps can be a problem with the file size. Whats the file size from your test file? My .m3u file has 40,045 lines (20 thousand songs). But, again, it works OK on latest alpha version.

PS: I tested on 1.5.0.23556, the latest beta version announced, not in 1.5.0.23567.

I copied the *first* 75 lines from boxee.m3u to an boxee2.m3u. The new file is working fine. So, the BB can find the references to my tracks (HDD plugged on USB).

Testing with a playlist with 40,000 lines (20,000 songs): 37 minutes to start playing.

So, the bug occurs with large playlists. Can you reproduce with a large M3U file in your testing machine?

Please attach a Debug log to this issue.
Settings > System > Advanced > Debug Level = Debug
ReStart Boxee, and after experiencing the problem, close Boxee and attach your log file to the bug.
DEBUG log slows down the performance. so afterward, switch the log level back to NONE
Boxee Box log may be found at *http://boxeebox:8080/ under 'Boxee Logs', click on the "Get latest " link. (*boxeebox =ip address of the box)

Hi Ami. The log level was set to DEBUG. I dont know why it just printed INFO messages. I'll try again later.

Hi. This new attachment has the debug messages. However, the file hasnt all the messages from playlist playing. I dont know why BB stopped recording debug messages. On the other hand, it's clear that each access in audiodb is slower than the last.

Is there any chance to be fixed in some 1.5 release? This is a regression issue, because it worked fine on firmware 1.2.
