Mouse inaccessible on Vimeo web site

Sometimes a video just won't play properly in the Vimeo app, so then I watch it on the Vimeo site via the browser. Other times, I've needed more options than the Vimeo app gives me, so again, I go to the Vimeo site. The problem, especially in the latter scenario, is that the whole Vimeo site is treated like a video, whether or not there's a video on the page, and I have no control over the mouse. All I can do is quit the "video". I can't even log in because of this. If I'm actually watching a video, sometimes it plays in HD and sometimes it doesn't. I always want to watch in HD when I can, but because I can't control the mouse, I can't change that option.

There are other scenarios when I needed the mouse on the Vimeo site, but I don't think I need to list them all. YouTube always gives you the option to toggle the mouse on and off; it shouldn't be any different on Vimeo.
