Description

A lot of Boxee apps that rely on Flash videos (BBC iPlayer) continuously buffer the content making it unwatchable.
However running the same stream through the Boxee Box browser works fine.

Daniel, please try playing the same video on bbc iplayer on a regular browser on the same network, you can also try switching to a different connection type to your boxeebox (WiFi vs. Ethernet).

The issue occurs over wifi or ethernet.

The have 2x Boxee Boxe's in the house. v1.2 is fine. v1.5 has a lot of buffering.
Other apps have the issue ustream, youporn, youtube, vevo etc.

I only have a 5.5mb ADSL connection here. Maybe try to throttle your lab connection down.

Done some more testing here.

All connected on the same ethernet network using the same ADSL connection (5.5mb connection)

Boxee v1.2 -> BBC iPlayer (occasional buffering very slight)
Boxee v1.2 -> Boxee Browser BBC iPlayer stream (no issues - smooth)
Boxee v1.5 -> BBC iPlayer (significant buffering)
Boxee v1.5 -> Boxee Browser BBC iPlayer stream (occasional bufferings very slight)

Google TV (Logitech Revue) -> Chrome BBC iPlayer stream (smooth + better picture quality)
