Video/audio skip with netflix

patrick mccarthy added a comment - 26/Dec/11 8:20 AM Connected via hdmi direct an onkyo 608. The cut outs happened with several children's shows (quite honestly i can't remember which ones, although one was "super readers") and "fat, sick, and nearly dead". With the holidays we havent watched much lately, but i will try and pay attention and see if it was just a netflix fluke. Havent noticed any cut outs on other apps or watching tv so it may have been netflix.

patrick mccarthy added a comment - 06/Jan/12 11:14 AM just wanted to let you know that i am still experiencing netflix audio dropouts with the latest release (1.5.0.23422). I've noticed most often during "Super Readers" episodes (my kid watches that alot) but it has occurred sporadically through other netflix videos. Have noticed some correlation between the audio dropouts and the activity light on my attached external hardrive flashing like its active (normally it just remains solid unless boxee is querying or I am running a video from it).

patrick mccarthy added a comment - 09/Jan/12 8:04 AM I am so sorry. At least you now probably have a better grasp on letters, fairy tales, and you have found the super story answer. When it happens for me its usually the first show after starting the boxee, but i'll see if i can get it to happen again. I havent noticed it recently, but i also havent been paying a lot of attention.

I think I can watch like 2-3 episodes of a tv series and then it happens. but again its really random but its feels like its better then before but not perfect

Max Rathbone added a comment - 12/Oct/12 6:27 PM I just purchased a Boxee box and really love everything about it except this one bug. I can deal with resetting the Boxee from time to time.. but to have the audio interrupted while streaming Netflix is a show stopper for me. Especially when trying to justify the purchase of Boxee units for each of my family members. :( I use a separate SMB share for my local media (no attached USB). Considering Netflix is one of the main reasons why people use Boxee, it seems that this bug really should have a higher priority. I can't make it through an evening without encountering this bug at least several times.
