Pal DVD ISO runs with 60Hz even if the video is 50Hz

Description

Playback of DVD PAL (576i 50Hz) movies sometimes makes the movie play in 1080P60Hz instead of 1080P50Hz

Scenario1 - DVD PAL ISO with menusystem embedded
DVD menu system runs in 60Hz, but boxee switches to 50Hz when the movie is started
OK

Scenario2 - Same move as above, but the playback is stopped and resumed.
When the movie is selected and resume is selected (instead of start from beginning) the movie runs in 60Hz - INCORRECT

Scenario3 - DVD PAL ISO without menu system (movie starts directly)
The start at 60Hz - INCORRECT

Tested with at least 10 different ISO images. Verified that that image really is PAL 576i50Hz



Settings used:
Resolution: 1080p/50hz or 1080P (60Hz) - doesnt matter
Automatic refresh rate enabled

IF match screen refresh rate is disabled, the issue will not reproduce. It will stay with 50Hz all the time.
But in that case, also my 24Hz movies will run in 50Hz that is not wanted.

It looks like it is the match screen refresh rate function that is sometimes not working with PAL ISO.
However the movie playback is normal (it does not play faster), it is just the refresh rate that is incorrect and adds an unwanted 50 to 60Hz conversion.

It would help us reproduce and fix the issue if you could please upload the file or a file sample to the "incoming" directory at

Before uploading, Rename the file to include the issue number in its file name.
This is a write only FTP, and other people will not see your files.
You can use the FTP client from http://filezilla-project.org/

It happens on all PAL ISOs I have tried (selfmade or made by others). I dont know how to create a small file to upload. The files are normally at least 3GB.

3GB is ok to upload if you can do that,
if not, try to create only one chapter of a whole DVD you are using, the same way you are creating the iso for a full DVD backup.

Also have this same problem, i watch downloaded MotoGP from usenet and those uploads contain a DVD structure but the video displays it in 60Hz and they are for sure in 50Hz.
If im right the video playback is correct in version 1.1.2.19250.

Here is another small sample what can be downloaded from usenet, only 530MB.
