New Bookmarklet does not work on Explorer (IE9)

Description

After installing the new Alpha bookmarklet and trying to use a "need to login or sign up" message comes up, signing up does not change anything

The tab needs to lose focus, then the user needs to become logged in in the same browser, then the original tab needs to receive focus. Everything is working as it should, but perhaps the messaging could leave some users confused.

The tab loses focus, logging in the same same browser (also happens when already logged in), the log in tab closes and then the original tab receives focus and still presents the same request to log in and not refresh changes it.
this has been confirmed on IE9

Ok, it seems like I am unable to reproduce the issue as described. On a fresh computer with IE9 just downloaded, I was able to log in via the link on the bookmarklet, enter login info, close the tab, and come back to a working bookmarklet search and display.

When the issue is observed, does opening a new tab to "www.boxee.tv" result in the home page screen or the user home page?

thought it was a competability mode issue, but with competability enabled it doesn't even show the banner asking to log in.
reproduced on 3 different machines

Hmm, I'm really at a loss for why you're seeing that result. Can you try some of the following and see if they have any effect?

1. Reinstall the bookmarklet. Delete it and go back to www.boxee.tv/watchlater/alpha and re-add the bookmarklet. Is there any chance the machines with the issue had the bookmarklet installed from staging or some other non-prod environment?

2. Use the cache-deleting tools in IE9. Maybe something is getting cached when it shouldn't be that is making the browser thing the user is still not logged in?

3. Open up the developer tools console (F12) and look at the "Console" tab... any error messages?

Not sure if any of these will shed light or not...

I am having the same issue as stated in 11444 issue. I have actually just insatlled Windows 7 on my desktop and with a clean install and upgrade to IE9 this doesn't work on the new build either?? It just keeps asking me to log in every time I try to add a vid.

This is really annoying as I don't want to have to install another browser ( Firefox worked on old build) so waht could be the issue??
I have Stopzilla and AVG running, but no ad-ons to the IE9???

I get the same error. The "watch later" bookmark functionality works fine in Chrome but in IE9, even if I am already logged in, it always asks me to log in.

Got a report that leaving "remember me" unchecked allows it to work on IE9.
