Description

When using the Boxee Browser to access any webpage at www.channel4.com/4od soon after the webpage has loaded the cursor is 'disabled' resulting in not being able to select anything ok the page.

The browser seems to 'think' that a video has loaded in full screen as pressing the menu button on the remote results in the following prompt:

"Are you sure you want to leave this video?
Your progress might be lost."

Selecting the "Go to browser" option doesn't 'enable' the cursor.

Workaround is to view channel 4 shows via their Youtube channel.

Sorry could not reproduce this tried it on 1.1.2.19250 ..are you having this issue with other webpages? Can you try a reboot of the box and then send me your boxee logs (http://boxee.zendesk.com/entries/329278-i-ve-been-asked-by-boxee-support-to-send-debug-logs-how-do-i-do-that) after reproducing the issues.

Hello,

No I haven't come across this issue for other webpages.

I performed the action "Send to Boxee" for the log file "boxee.1310646866.2326.tar.bz2"

I reproduced the error and selected the option "go to browser" and then "leave".

Hello,

I've been informed via the Boxee forums

that you meant the log file should be sent to you.

I saved it locally before performing the "send to boxee" action.

It's now also been send to marcel[at]boxee[dot]tv

I am now seeing this issue when opening the BBox's web browser to Bing - it's happening on one Box with frmw v120.20151 and on another Box with v112.19250

The issue seems to have started today for no aparent reason - and no 'changes' have taken place that I can recall

Marcel, I just emailed you a log file taked from my BBox with v120.20151 right after accessing the Boxee browser/Bing and having the invisible cursor issue happen

This bug may become irrelevant as Channel 4 has announced that they have "rebuilt the version of 4oD on Channel4.com from the ground up" and it'll launch on August 31st.

This problem is on the new 4od website too.

Since visiting 4OD is now the only way to get 4OD content (since it was removed from the scraper) it would be great to see this fixed.

4OD is probably the biggest provider of UK video content.

I've tried accessing the site with the latest firmware and its the same result. The cursor is 'diaabled' as mentioned previously when the page has fully loaded. (when the loading bar 'fills up' and is removed)

The workaround of watching the shows via Youtube is no longer possible as a flash upgrade is required to view all channel 4 and channel 5 shows.

Just upgraded to 1.5 and the cursor is still active when the website completes loading. Thank you for the fix and I look forward to an update which allows for the flash update so videos can be viewed on 4OD.

No one is having this issue because no one can use 4oD - it needs the latest version of flash... an which still hasn't been addressed, and on which the boxee team seems completely silent on.

The cursor only disappeared after flash objects had been loaded, so whatever underlying problem caused this is probably still there.

Hi,

I've discovered that the cursor issue is still present but only when going to the site when launching the boxee browser via apps. When going to the site when launching the browser via the "web" tile the issue isn't present.

This is the same for ps3.channel4.com
